

Ticks are blood-feeding parasites often found in tall grasses and shrubs where they will wait to attach to a passing host. Ticks cannot jump or fly, so physical contact is the only method of trasportation for ticks, as they can detect heat and carbon dioxide from a nearby host. Ticks are more active in warm weather but can attack at any given time.
